Otto Lopez Homers In Loss To Mets
1 day agoMiami Marlins second baseman Otto Lopez turned in a big game in a 10-4 loss to the New York Mets on Monday. Lopez went 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBI in the losing effort for Miami. The veteran infielder launched a solo homer off Mets starter David Peterson in the first inning, giving him two home runs through his first five games this season. Overall, Lopez has picked up eight hits and notched six RBI across 20 at-bats on the young season. He showed some speed in 2024 as he stole 20 bases in 117 games for the Marlins, which gave him some value as a fantasy asset in deeper leagues. Lopez will look to stay hot as the calendar flips to April.
