Osvaldo Bido To Start Game 2 For A's On Wednesday
7 months agoOakland Athletics right-hander Osvaldo Bido will make the start for the A's in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Texas Rangers. If Bido pitches well against the division rivals, there's a chance he could stick around in the big leagues for another turn through the starting rotation with Joe Boyle (back) going on the 15-day injured list on Monday. The 28-year-old has earned the promotion to the big leagues after posting a 2.59 ERA, 13 walks and 39 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings for Triple-A Las Vegas this year. The Dominican hurler made his big-league debut in 2023 with the Pirates and went 2-5 with a 5.86 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with 21 walks and 48 strikeouts in 16 outings (nine starts). Bido will be a streamer on Wednesday only for those in very deep fantasy leagues.
