Orlando Arcia Still Out With Abscessed Tooth
5 months agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia (tooth) remains out of the team's starting lineup on Thursday against the visiting San Francisco Giants on the Fourth of July. It's the third straight game that Arcia has missed due to an abscessed tooth. He remains day-to-day, but it remains to be seen if he's feeling good enough to play in Friday's series opener against the visiting division-rival Philadelphia Phillies. The 29-year-old Venezuelan infielder hasn't moved the needle in mixed fantasy leagues at all this year while residing at the bottom of Atlanta's lineup while hitting just .211 (60-for-285) with six homers, 23 RBI and 24 runs scored. Zack Short will make a third straight start at the 6 on Thursday and will bat ninth against Giants right-hander Logan Webb. Avoid Short in DFS lineups on the nation's birthday.
