Orlando Arcia "Not Far Off" From Returning
2 years agoAtlanta Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia (wrist) is close to making a return to the roster and told reporters that he hopes to be back by Friday, according to Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The former Milwaukee Brewers prospect suffered a microfracture in his left wrist and has been out of action since April 12. Arcia has yet to swing a bat, but manager Brian Snitker said he isn't "far off." Before he landed on the injured list, he was off to a fantastic start, slashing .333/.400/.511 with two bombs, 10 runs, seven RBI, and no stolen bases over 13 games. When Arcia does come back, that would spell Vaughn Grissom out of a starting role, who has been a bit disappointing through 15 games, hitting .294 with no home runs or stolen bases. Fantasy managers can drop him in virtually every league.
