Orlando Arcia Given Three-Year Deal
2 years agoThe Atlanta Braves are in agreement with shortstop Orlando Arcia on a three-year deal, with a club option for 2026, according to Robert Murray of FanSided. The contract is worth $7.3 million. Arcia, 28, won the shortstop battle in Spring Training after the team sent down Vaughn Grissom and Braden Shewmake to Triple-A. Last season he slashed .244/.316/.416 with nine home runs, 25 runs, and 30 RBI across 68 games with the Braves. He might not hold down the position for long with the two other candidates breathing down his neck, and fantasy managers shouldn't be too interested in Arcia, especially as the projected ninth batter in the lineup.
