Orioles Claim Tucker Davidson Off Waivers From Royals
1 year agoThe Baltimore Orioles claimed left-hander Tucker Davidson off waivers from the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Davidson appeared in 38 games (one start) for the Royals and Los Angeles Angels in 2023, posting a combined 5.96 ERA (4.27 FIP), 1.62 WHIP, two saves, 19 walks and a career-high 46 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings pitched. The 27-year-old southpaw was slightly better with the Royals in 20 appearances (one start), allowing 12 runs (11 earned) while walking eight and striking out 15 in 19 2/3 innings. Davidson has started 17 games in his major-league career over four seasons, but it's unclear what role the Orioles plan to use him in heading into the 2024 campaign.
