3 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles will have the first overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft. This determination was not decided until the final games of the season Sunday, as the O's and Diamondbacks ended up tying for the worst record in baseball. Both teams also had the same record in 2020, so the ultimate tie breaker came down to the O's having a worse record all the way back in 2019. This will be the second time in four years that the O's have had the top pick after they selected catcher Adley Rutschman, currently the No. 1 prospect in baseball, in 2019. While a lot will happen before their potential selection comes into focus, hopefully the O's will draft a player who can help them get on the right track.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
