2 years agoAfter a great start through April and May to begin the 2022 MLB season, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays is starting with a slump through the first week of June. Hays is currently 4-for-19 this month with one home run, six RBI and a slash line of .211/.286/.368. Hays and the Orioles prepare to take on Keegan Thompson and the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, which could be troublesome, as Thompson is generating a 52% ground-ball rate on his pitches this season. With 49% of Hays' hits this season coming on the fastball, expect a healthy diet of cutters and curveballs from Thompson on Tuesday.--JasonHirsch
