Onyeka Okongwu Dominates Against Pacers
2 years agoAtlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu took full advantage of Myles Turner's (back) absence on Friday and dominated under the rim against Indiana in a 113-111 win. He had an amazing start with 14 first-quarter points and ended up finishing with 18 points and a career-high 20 rebounds. He delivered four assists and also crushed it on the defensive end with two steals and four blocks The 22-year-old led the team with 39 minutes and enjoyed a 9-for-12 shooting night. Okongwu has done a superb job filling in for Clint Capela (calf), averaging 10.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks as a starter. On Friday, it was announced that Capela remains without a timetable, meaning there should be plenty of more big games in store for Okongwu.
