11 months agoNew Jersey Devils left wing Ondrej Palat (lower body) isn't close to returning to action. He's been on the shelf for three games already and isn't out "short-term," according to Devils head coach Lindy Ruff. The injury is a further source of disappointment for Palat, who's struggled to make an impact in 2023-24. In 35 appearances, he's only picked up five goals and nine assists. His current scoring pace of 0.40 points per game is his worst in 11 seasons. With Jack Hughes (upper body) and Timo Meier (abdomen) also out, the Devils' top six currently looks very different compared to the usual setup.
