Ollie Schniederjans Hopes to Regain Early-Season Form
6 years agoOllie Schniederjans shot back-to-back rounds of 76 on Thursday and Friday to miss the cut at last week's U.S. Open. Schniederjans struggled for the two days with his long game, dropping 2.588 strokes tee to green to the field. The missed cut broke a nine-tournament cut streak that Schniederjans had coming into Shinnecock Hills. Despite the apparent good form that the cut streak should indicate, Schniederjans had failed to post a top-30 in that time frame. This week, he will take on the Travelers Championship and the short TPC River Highlands course. The reduction in length should help the young American with his struggling tee-to-green game. However, outside of a GPP contrarian play, Schniederjans makes for a very difficult player to trust.
