Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand (lower body) has been ruled out for the team's first-round playoff series against the Florida Panthers. Bjorkstrand sustained a lower-body injury on April 11 and is considered week-to-week. While splitting the season between Tampa Bay and the Seattle Kraken, Bjorkstrand posted 46 points (21 goals, 25 assists) in 79 appearances. Conor Geekie has enjoyed a productive spell as Bjorkstrand's replacement in the lineup, scoring twice in three games. The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand from the Seattle Kraken. Bjorkstrand will head to Tampa alongside fellow forward Yanni Gourde, while the Lightning sent out two first-round draft picks (2026 and 2027), a 2025 second-round pick, and forward Michael Eyssimont. Tampa Bay also received a 2026 fifth-round pick in the deal. Bjorkstrand moved to Seattle in 2022-23 after being traded by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He recorded 141 points (56 goals, 85 assists) in 224 games with the Kraken, ranking him fifth on the franchise's all-time scoring list. This season, Bjorkstrand has scored 16 goals and 37 points in 61 games. It's possible that the Danish forward may receive less ice time with the Lightning, which could hurt his fantasy value.

Seattle Kraken right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand had a monster outing against the Rangers on Sunday, racking up two goals and two assists in a 7-5 victory. He became the first player in franchise history to post multiple four-point efforts with the team. Three of his points, including both goals, came in the second frame, matching Seattle's all-time record for most points scored in a single period. Following a slow start to the season, things have clicked for Bjorkstrand lately, as he's tallied five goals and 12 points in his last nine outings. The prolific run has boosted Bjorkstrand's points tally for the season to 20 (nine goals, 11 assists) through 28 appearances.
