3 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets winger Oliver Bjorkstrand recorded his second four-point performance of the season in Sunday's 6-4 win over Vegas, notching a goal and three assists. All of his assists came on goals by Cole Sillinger, who made himself the second-youngest player in franchise history to score a hat trick. Max Domi had a pair of assists as well, and the line ended up combining for nine points in the game. Bjorkstrand has now scored in six of his last 10 appearances, pushing his account for the season up to 21 goals and 45 points. He fires off a lot of shots and registers hits regularly, which makes the Danish winger an attractive fantasy piece.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

4 months agoSeattle Kraken right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand had a monster outing against the Rangers on Sunday, racking up two goals and two assists in a 7-5 victory. He became the first player in franchise history to post multiple four-point efforts with the team. Three of his points, including both goals, came in the second frame, matching Seattle's all-time record for most points scored in a single period. Following a slow start to the season, things have clicked for Bjorkstrand lately, as he's tallied five goals and 12 points in his last nine outings. The prolific run has boosted Bjorkstrand's points tally for the season to 20 (nine goals, 11 assists) through 28 appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

6 months agoSeattle Kraken right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand (undisclosed) is fully healthy for the start of the 2024-25 NHL season. The Danish winger was hurt playing for his country in Olympic qualifiers a few weeks ago, but he has shaken off the problem ahead of training camp. Bjorkstrand has been one of the Kraken's most consistent players and should be good for 50-plus points again in 2024-25. He enjoyed a career year last term with a 59-point effort across 82 games. The 29-year-old finished second in scoring and led the team with a career-high 39 assists and 25 power-play points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 year agoSeattle Kraken right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand had one of his best performances of the season on Thursday versus Chicago, completing a 7-1 trashing with three points. He grabbed a goal and had two assists, logging more points than in his previous nine appearances combined. The last few weeks have been rough for Bjorkstrand, but he can still be satisfied with his work in 2023-24.
