Odubel Herrera Home Run Wins Duel
Aaron Nola and Max Scherzer squared off. Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera, however, managed to strike with a seventh-inning two-run home run for all the scoring this game would feature. It was a much-needed boost for Herrera, who has fallen on hard times at the plate lately. In August, the 26-year-old has hit a disappointing .179 as his average has taken a significant hit. Regardless, his 20 home runs and 64 RBI are both career highs, as he’s well on his way to his best season to date with a pennant race to look forward to in the upcoming month.
