Odubel Herrera Goes Hitless Yet Again
6 years agoAlongside the rest of the Philadelphia Phillies offense, outfielder Odubel Herrera has fallen on seriously hard times as the club's playoff hopes die out. The 26-year-old, who's notched career highs in home runs and RBI, seemed headed for an all-around fantastic season early on. In late June, he was hitting in the .300s, but a .213 average after the All-Star break has brought his numbers down significantly. Following the loss on Wednesday, which saw him go hitless in four plate appearances, he's hitting .257, sharing plenty of playing time with Roman Quinn in the outfield.
