Norman Powell Matches Season-High In Points With 29
4 years agoToronto Raptors guard Norman Powell was on fire in Thursday night's win over the Bucks. Powell scored 29 points, matching his season-high, along with four rebounds, four triples, three assists, and two steals in 31 minutes. The 27-year-old stepped up with Kyle Lowry (thumb) out of the lineup, scoring 17 of his 29 in the first half and finishing the contest with uber-efficient 9 of 12 shooting from the field. Powell has been excellent in February, averaging 20-plus points a night with over a steal per game on 50/40/90 shooting splits. With Lowry expected to miss Friday's game against the Timberwolves, Powell could be needed to play a big role once again versus a team who just allowed 22 points to him this past Sunday.
