Nolan Gorman Sitting Against Lefty On Saturday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Nolan Gorman made his MLB debut in Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the game. On Saturday, the Cardinals will be going up against Pirates left-hander Jose Quintana and Gorman is not included in the starting lineup for the game. Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol cited Gorman's concerning splits against lefties in the minors as his reason for benching Gorman in his second day in the majors. Luckily for Gorman, the Pirates have right-hander Bryse Wilson on the mound on Sunday so we should see him back in action for the series finale.
