Nolan Arenado Hits His 27th Home Run On Wednesday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Game 2 of the team's doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. The home run was his 27th of the year. The former Rockies star has had an underwhelming debut season with the Cardinals. He especially struggled in August, when he slashed just .212/.278/.433. While he should continue to be started in just about all fantasy leagues going forward, he's no longer the must-start, elite fantasy producer he once was. He's delivering a good amount of home runs and RBI (85), but they aren't what we've seen in previous years. Additionally, his .256 batting average on the year is well below his career .289 average.
