Noble Meyer Continues To Show Strikeout Potential
5 months agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Noble Meyer has continued to average a strikeout per inning even after moving up to High-A. Meyer was promoted to High-A Beloit on May 27 and has struck out 12 batters through his first 12 innings with a 4.50 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. He has allowed just five free passes. Earlier in the season at Single-A, Meyer struck out 43 batters across 34 frames. He tallied at least eight punchouts in three starts including a season-high 11 on May 25. Last season, across the Rookie League and a brief stint at Single-A, he tallied 55 punchouts across 46 innings. Meyer is considered the ninth-best right-handed pitching prospect on MLB Pipeline and remains on track to meet his 2026 major league ETA.
