Noah Syndergaard Unlikely To Be Traded
6 years agoNew York Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen said the trade to acquire second baseman Robinson Cano and closer Edwin Diaz makes it less likely that they will trade starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard, because the "chips are in" to win now. Thor does have injury concerns, but he's one of the more dominant right-handed pitchers in baseball when he's healthy. It will take a big package for another team to pry him away at this point. Syndergaard was 13-4 with a 3.03 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and career-low 9.0 K/9 over 25 starts in 2018.
