Noah Syndergaard Throws Live Batting Practice On Saturday
3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) threw live batting practice on Saturday at Dodger Stadium to shortstop Francisco Lindor (oblique) and second baseman Luis Guillorme (hamstring). Syndergaard stated that that ball was coming out well. Syndergaard suffered a setback in May during his recovery from Tommy John surgery, but assuming he has no setbacks from Saturday's session, a rehab assignment may be imminent. Nonetheless, a best-case scenario for Syndergaard remains a return to the Mets in mid-September. If he does return, Syndergaard will likely be used out of the bullpen, limiting any potential fantasy value he can provide to managers for a stretch run or fantasy playoffs.
