Noah Syndergaard Remains On Pace For June Return
4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard (elbow) reportedly remains on schedule for a return from the injured list in June. Syndergaard underwent Tommy John surgery in March of 2020. He is currently on the 60-day IL. Syndergaard last pitched in 2019, when he went 10-8 with a 4.28 ERA and 1.23 WHIP while averaging 9.2 K/9. Given consistent positive reports over spring regarding his health status and pitching velocities, Syndergaard remains a low-risk, high reward option if he is available on fantasy league waiver wires. Managers who roster Syndergaard on deep benches or IL slots for the next two months could be greatly rewarded with solid ratios and strikeouts in the second half of the season.
