Noah Syndergaard Picks Up First Win
6 years agoThe third time was the charm for New York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard, as he finally picked up a win Wednesday night against the Minnesota Twins. The 26-year-old went seven innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out seven. He was fantastic through the first seven innings, but he emerged for the eighth and surrendered three straight hits before getting pulled. While it wasn't a quality start, Syndergaard benefited from a six-run fifth inning that his offense put forward. The victory puts his record at 1-1, while his ERA stands at 4.74. His next start is scheduled for Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
