Noah Syndergaard In Top Form
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard was a disappointment last year with his 3.44 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in his first 21 starts, but he has carried over his late-season form into spring training. In his final four starts last year, Syndergaard posted a 1.04 ERA and 0.88 WHIP across 26 innings of action. That's similar to his spring training numbers so far, with Syndergaard posting a 1.88 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 14.1 innings while recording 19 strikeouts. That's the Syndergaard that all fans want to see, as he may be poised to vie for a Cy Young Award if he can continue this sort of dominance into the regular season.
