6 years agoNew York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard took his second loss of the month Sunday afternoon as he still tries to find his form on the mound. The 26-year-old only lasted five innings against the Cardinals, allowing six runs on eight hits while striking out five. Of the six runs conceded only four were earned, making this three out of four starts this season of at least four runs surrendered. The Mets offense only managed four runs themselves, resulting in defeat. For Syndergaard, the pressure increases as Jacob deGrom faces elbow issues leaving him to be the staff ace.--RDelgado
