Noah Schultz Placed On IL With Shoulder Impingement
1 year agoChicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz was placed on the seven-day injured list Sunday with a shoulder impingement. The injury is not considered severe, but the 20-year-old will be shut down for at least a few weeks. The organization is reasonably playing it cautious with Schultz, considering a flexor strain kept him out of action until June. A 2022 first-round pick out of prep school, Schultz has the tools to be a stud at the major-league level. His slider ranked among the best in his draft class, and his fastball has ticked up over the past year. Still, plenty of development is needed, and a big-league debut is at least a couple of years away for Schultz.
