No Timetable For Giancarlo Stanton To Resume Baseball Activities
1 day agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that there is no timetable for when outfielder/designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (elbows) will resume baseball activities. Stanton also dealt with tennis elbow in both of his elbows last year, but it's a bit concerning this spring that he hasn't started swinging at all and may not do so for a while. Depending on when he begins ramping things up, the 35-year-old power hitter could be in danger of beginning the start of the 2025 season on the injured list. Stanton was a beast in the postseason in the Yankees' run to the World Series last fall and he was able to rebound during the regular season with a .233 batting average, 27 home runs and 72 RBI in 114 games. When healthy, he still has immense power, but the drawbacks almost outweigh the positives at this point. Stanton hasn't played in over 120 games since 2021 and isn't going to help your batting average at all.
