No Structural Damage For Jazz Chisholm Jr.
1 year agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) had an MRI exam on Monday morning that showed no structural damage to his right hamstring. He was able to do some running and will do baseball activities as tolerated, but he's not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds. Jon Berti will play second base and bat leadoff against Reds left-hander Brandon Williamson. The 25-year-old suffered a right-hamstring cramp on Saturday and has now missed the last two games, but hopefully he'll be able to avoid yet another injured-list stint. Fantasy managers should view him as day-to-day for now. Chisholm has plenty of power/speed upside, but he's been a frustrating fantasy asset because of all the missed time due to injuries early in his career.
