No Issues With Zach Wilson's Shoulder
4 years agoBYU quarterback Zach Wilson (shoulder) had shoulder surgery back in 2019, but the New York Jets, who many believe will select Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, feel confident in his shoulder based on information they've received from trusted medical sources. There are zero issues with Wilson's shoulder, which is why the Jets didn't need to wait for his physical in Indianapolis. The Jets recently traded former No. 3 overall pick Sam Darnold, signaling that they are ready to take their future franchise QB at No. 2 overall later this month. Wilson threw for 3,692 yards, 33 touchdowns and three interceptions in 2020 and impressed at his Pro Day workout. Extremely accurate all over the field and while on the run, Wilson has plenty of upside at the next level, but he won't be very attractive in single-year formats in 2021.
