Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton will not play in Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. According to Nets reporter Chris Milholen, Claxton is dealing with a non-COVID illness. The 22-year-old started the team's first three games of the year, but he was bumped to the bench in the team's most recent game as they decided to go small with Bruce Brown in the starting five and Blake Griffin manning center. Claxton has averaged 19 minutes per game this year and he's put up 6.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. Veterans Paul Millsap and LaMarcus Aldridge could see their minutes increase with Claxton sidelined, though neither is very enticing for DFS purposes.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (rest) won't play on Sunday against the visiting Raptors. The Nets are limping to the finish line, so Claxton may only make a few more appearances the rest of the way. With Day'Ron Sharpe (knee) and Noah Clowney (ankle) also sidelined, Drew Timme, who has averaged 11.3 and 5.0 rebounds in four professional appearances, could find his way into the starting lineup or at least see enough minutes from off the bench to remain a practical streaming option.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (rest) won't play in Saturday's game against Washington. He logged only 19 minutes in Friday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, finishing with six points, five rebounds, and two blocks. But with the Nets unable to earn a Play-In berth, Claxton could see less work for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. Day'Ron Sharpe (knee) is also out, meaning Trendon Watford could find himself in the middle on Saturday night. Drew Timme, who had a double-double in the first appearance of his career on Friday night, should also see some action.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (rest) will skip Saturday's contest against the Boston Celtics. The team plans to rest him for the first leg of a back-to-back. It's safe to assume Claxton will be reinserted in the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Noah Clowney (ankle) and Trendon Watford (hamstring) also won't feature on Saturday, leaving Day'Ron Sharpe as Brooklyn's only real option at center. Sharpe is likely to log his second start of the campaign. He went into beast mode in his first start, racking up 25 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and two steals in a 129-121 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 26.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports that Brooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton will serve a one-game suspension during Wednesday's matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Claxton received the suspension after picking up his sixth flagrant foul of the season against the Wizards on Monday. The 25-year-old big man will be eligible to return on Friday against the Trail Blazers. In Claxton's absence, Day'Ron Sharpe and Trendon Watford are expected to see increased opportunities in the Nets' frontcourt on Wednesday.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
