Nico Hoerner Leaves Early On Monday
2 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner left his team's Monday night game against the St. Louis Cardinals with an apparent injury. Hoerner injured himself running the bases after he went from first to third on a Dansby Swanson double in the fifth inning. He came up wincing as he pulled up to third and was replaced by pinch-runner Nick Madrigal. Hoerner is hitting .303 with two homers, 25 runs, and 19 RBI in 2023. Look for the Cubs to update his status upon the completion of Monday's game.
