1 day agoNew Jersey Devils center Nico Hischier (upper body) is hoping to return on Saturday to face the Dallas Stars. Hischier was able to practice on Tuesday and will continue to be monitored leading up to Saturday's contest. Hischier has been on the injured reserve and missed their previous six games. Before the injury, Hischier was enjoying a nice offensive surge as he tallied seven points (five goals, two helpers) over his last six games. Overall, Hischier has tallied 43 points (24 goals, 19 assists) across 51 games, and 18 of them have come on the power-play. He has also averaged .91 blocked shots per game. When he is cleared for action, the 26-year-old will likely return to his role on the second unit and play alongside Timo Meier and Dawson Mercer.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
