Nick Williams Ignites Offense With Home Run
7 years agoWith ace starter Jake Arrieta dealing on the mound, the Philadelphia Phillies were poised for a victory on Tuesday at Dodgers Stadium. They would simply need to score a couple of runs to emerge victoriously, and outfielder Nick Williams took it upon himself to kick things off. Starting in left field and batting sixth, the 24-year-old drilled a solo home run to right in the second inning, kicking off a three-run frame. While it was his only hit of the game, it was enough to get the offense going, ultimately scoring six runs en route to a 6-1 victory.
