Nick Vannett Expected To Be Team's Starting Tight End
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks tight end Nick Vannett is expected to open the season as the team's starter with rookie Will Dissly serving as the No. 2 tight end. With veteran Ed Dickson (quadriceps, groin) unable to practice for the entire preseason, it wasn't much of a race for Vannett. He knows the offensive system well, and he is 100 percent healthy after spending his first couple of seasons battling injuries. Vannett is likely to see a handful of targets per game, as he helps fill the void left by the departures of both Jimmy Graham and Luke Willson. However, he should still be treated more as a low-end TE2 only worth fantasy consideration in the deepest of leagues.
