Nick Suzuki Pots His Sixth Goal Of The Season
5 years agoMontreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki scored the team's only goal in Wednesday's overtime loss to Ottawa. The 20-year-old rookie produced his sixth goal of the season on a power play with Phillip Danault and Brendan Gallagher collecting the assists. Only Buffalo's Victor Olofsson has more goals (7) among rookies and Suzuki has managed four points across the last five games, so he's clearly trending up. Head coach Claude Julien has started to trust him more as well, with him getting over 17 minutes of action on Wednesday. Suzuki's average playing time for the season is just above 14 minutes per night, but he's set to eat up a lot more minutes in the next couple of months, with Jonathan Drouin (wrist) ruled out for at least eight weeks.
