Nick Solak Struggling To Provide Power Lately
3 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Nick Solak got off to a strong start to the year. In April, he slashed .293/.375/.535 and hit seven home runs. Unfortunately, once the calendar turned to May, his power evaporated. Over 28 games in May, Solak slashed .200/.268/.318 with just one home run. He's currently in the midst of a 12-game home run drought. Solak currently ranks in the 46th percentile in hard-hit rate (39.9%) and in the 51st percentile in xSLG (.434). Those aren't great spots to be in from a power perspective. Solak is someone who should be rostered in all deep leagues, but don't expect for him to explode for another seven home run month anytime soon.
