Nick Pivetta Strong In No-Decision Against Boston
Nick Pivetta’s successful August continued on Tuesday night as he took on the dreaded Boston Red Sox at Citizens Bank Park. The 25-year-old kept baseball’s best team in check across six innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out six. It was his third consecutive quality start to kick off August, leading to a 1.50 ERA for the month. Ultimately, he would leave with the game tied at one and the Phillies would eventually lose the game. Regardless, the performance is one the Phillies can be pleased with as Pivetta continues to rebound from a disheartening end to July.
