Nick Pivetta Knocked Out In The Fifth
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nick Pivetta said he had his "C stuff" Monday night, and it showed in his final line as he allowed four runs on six hits and two walks to the Toronto Blue Jays in 4 2/3 innings Monday night. He struck out three batters. Pivetta was lucky to escape with a no-decision after Alex Verdugo hit a go-ahead two-run home run to give Boston the lead for good. Pivetta has now allowed at least four earned runs in his last three consecutive starts, and in five of his last eight. He's a solid streaming option for fantasy managers, but it's hard to trust him to be any more than that.
