Nick Pivetta Goes Seven Strong Innings In No-Decision
7 years agoFollowing a victorious performance Tuesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies sought another Wednesday and did so following a walk-off victory. Before that, however, the club’s starter, Nick Pivetta, had his best start of the young season, although he couldn’t record a victory in the process. The 25-year-old went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits. Additionally, he struck out seven, tossing 103 pitches in the process. Pivetta also recorded a hit and came around to score on J.P. Crawford’s home run. He was in line for the victory, but closer Hector Neris failed to secure the save.
