2 years agoTampa Bay Lightning defenseman Nick Perbix (undisclosed) isn't expected to be in the lineup Saturday versus Nashville. The 24-year-old rookie suffered an undisclosed injury in Thursday's 4-1 win over Calgary and missed Friday's practice. He is considered day-to-day. Perbix is only a couple of games removed from an impressive four-game scoring streak, so he's gotten sidelined just as he had picked up some nice form. The Minneapolis-born blue-liner boasts six points in total for the season with 19 shots, 17 blocks and 14 hits. Cal Foote (upper body) has also been ruled out for Saturday, but Erik Cernak (undisclosed) returned to practice Friday, so at least Tampa won't be completely down to bare bones at the back versus the Predators.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 years agoTampa Bay Lightning defenseman Nick Perbix (undisclosed) didn't play in the third period against St. Louis on Saturday, with head coach Jon Cooper saying that he was kept out of action for precautionary reasons. Cooper believes that his injury isn't a long-term thing. The 24-year-old rookie posted a goal and an assist in just 8:38 of ice time Saturday, recording his second consecutive multi-point outing. He has been a good addition to the Tampa blue line with 12 points in total for the season in 35 games, along with 62 shots, 35 hits and 32 blocks.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 years agoTampa Bay Lightning defenseman Nick Perbix (lower body) will be back in the lineup Monday versus Buffalo. He has missed the last three games whilst recovering from a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old rookie has impressed in his first year in the league, bagging three goals and three assists with 19 shots, 14 hits, 17 blocks, and a plus-seven rating. He has benefitted from skating with Mikhail Sergachev, who has been Tampa's most productive defenseman this season with 19 points in 20 games. The two will be reunited on Monday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
