Nick Markakis Drives In Two Runs On Wednesday
6 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Nick Markakis was 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 9-8 loss to the Boston Red Sox. Hopefully, this offensive outburst can revitalize Markakis, as he only has a .193 average with four RBI in his past 15 games. Markakis was one of the best players in the National League prior to the All-Star break and his season stat-line showcases that. He has a .304 average on the season to go along with 14 homers, 85 RBI, and 73 runs scored. He should still be started on a daily basis as he bats in the heart of the Braves order.
