2 years agoWisconsin linebacker Nick Herbig visited the Carolina Panthers on Monday. Herbig made 21.0 sacks, seven pass defenses, two fumble recoveries, and four forced fumbles in three years as an edge rusher for the Badgers. In his senior year, he made 11.0 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss in 11 games, leading the Big Ten in both categories. While he lined up outside the tackle on 88% of his snaps, Herbig is undersized for an outside linebacker, at 6-2 and 227 pounds. Many analysts expect him to move to the inside in the NFL. PFF ranks Herbig as the No. 11 edge rusher, and Mel Kiper has him as the No. 11 inside linebacker.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
