Nick Foles Falls Flat In Colts Debut
2 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Nick Foles went 17-of-29 passing for 143 yards, with zero touchdowns and three interceptions in Monday night's 20-3 loss to the Chargers. The 33-year-old started in favor of Matt Ryan to spark the offense and take more downfield shots. Unfortunately, his 4.9 yards per attempt were lower than the former Falcon's, who averaged 6.6 this season. Furthermore, he committed three turnovers and took seven sacks, preventing the team from generating offense. They could not sustain drives, resulting in 33 offensive plays and 173 total yards. It's unclear whether he'll get another opportunity next week against the Giants, but his presence under center negatively impacts all the other playmakers who rely on him.
