Nick Anderson Records First Save On Sunday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Nick Anderson allowed one earned run on one hit over one inning during Sunday's 3-2 win over the Miami Marlins. He didn't strike anyone out and surrendered a solo blast in the bottom of the ninth inning but still earned the save over the Marlins. The 31-year-old has now allowed an earned run over his last three appearances. Anderson will continue to split closing duties with Pete Fairbanks while incumbent closer Andrew Kittredge (shoulder) is sidelined. The Rays right-hander owns a 4.50 ERA with a 1:2 K:BB through six innings and can be rostered by fantasy managers searching for saves.
