3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays placed relief pitcher Nick Anderson (back) on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain on Monday. He'll miss the remainder of the regular season, but he'll be eligible to return for Game 1 of the ALDS. The 31-year-old right-hander has been plagued with injuries this year. He's only appeared in six games and he's pitched to a 4.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP while converting his only save opportunity. He was dominant in 2020, maintaining a 0.55 ERA and 0.49 WHIP while striking out 26 over 16.1 innings.
