Nick Anderson Earns First Save Of Season Tuesday
2 years agoAtlanta Braves relief pitcher Nick Anderson picked up his first save of the season in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Reds. Anderson came in to pitch the top of the ninth inning up by one and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout. While A.J. Minter has seen the most save opportunities so far with Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) on the injured list, he had pitched the two previous days. Further, four pitchers have seen save opportunities in the Braves' first 12 games. Anderson has looked good in the early going, posting a 3.18 ERA with a 12.71 K/9 rate in 5 2/3 innings pitched. He may be worth a look in deep roto leagues, but it still seems like Minter is the arm to roster in fantasy until Iglesias returns.
