7 years agoDiamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed was the catalyst in Friday's 9-8 win over the Rockies, going 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI. Known more for his defense than his hitting, Ahmed surprised everyone with a career day at the plate. This type of offense isn't something owners should expect from Ahmed on a regular basis, as he has never posted an OPS higher than .717 in his career. However, his defense has afforded him regular at-bats in the middle of a very potent Arizona lineup. If Ahmed continues to show improvement at the plate, he could make for a good streaming option in good matchups moving forward.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
