NFL Modifying Week 16 Thursday Night Football Schedule
17 seconds agoAccording to Ari Meirov of the 33rd Team, the National Football League is flexing a Thursday Night Football game for the first time in league history. Instead of the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals facing off, the NFL is opting to put the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers on primetime during Week 16. With the Chargers and Broncos in the heat of the Wild Card race, this is a great decision to boost viewership as both the Browns and Bengals remain out of the current playoff picture. In addition, both quarterbacks in the new matchup, Justin Herbert and rookie Bo Nix, have begun to find their stride this season. Over his past six games, Herbert has averaged 268.0 passing yards per game with nine total scores, while Nix has tallied ten scores in his past four contests.
