Nelson Rada Breaks Out Of Slump With Three-Hit Night
10 months agoLos Angeles Angels outfield prospect Nelson Rada broke out of a prolonged slump with a three-hit night and a home run on Friday evening. Entering Friday, Rada tallied just one hit in his past ten games and was riding a 4:18 BB:K ratio. Rada began this season by making his Double-A debut which was quite surprising as he never logged one game at the High-A level. Through 50 games this summer with Double-A Rocket City, he has posted a .231/.292/.267 line with 21 swiped bags. Last summer with Single-A, he held a strong .276/.395/.346 line with an eye-catching 55 stolen bases. While his hitting has yet to make the jump over to Double-A, his speed has, which is a great sign. Rada is considered the best prospect in the Angels system and is worth stashing in all dynasty leagues as he is developing into one of the game's best threats on the basepaths.

Nelson Rada, Caden Dana Get Spring Training Invites
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Nelson Rada and pitcher Caden Dana are among the team's non-roster invites for major-league spring training this year. Rada, 18, was signed for $1.8 million in January of 2022 as an international free agent from Venezuela when he was just 16. The left-handed hitter slashed .276/.396/.346 with two home runs, 48 RBI, 55 stolen bases and 94 runs scored in 115 games at Single-A Inland Empire in 2023. He'll look to continue his development in the minors for the Halos in 2024. Dana, 20, is one of the team's top pitching prospects and went 3-5 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 30 walks and 89 strikeouts with Inland Empire and High-A Tri-City last year over 14 starts (68 1/3 innings). The young right-hander was the team's 11th-round pick in 2022.
