4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz (hip) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers. Cruz was originally slated to start and hit third in the game, but was instead scratched due to hip tightness, though it sounds like Cruz's absence may just be nothing more than a day off. Rookie outfielder Brent Rooker is getting his first start at designated hitter in the game and batting fifth. Hopefully Cruz will be back in the lineup when the team faces the Tigers yet again on Monday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
